Expanding Your Resources
The secret I’m going to share with you will help make 2010 bigger and more successful than you’ve ever imagined. This one thing is the key element that has created more success than anything ever discovered. Before I share this powerful “missing piece,” it’s necessary to explain a couple of things.
What would you like to be or achieve? No matter what you declare to be your objective, as soon as you identify what you want, it’s normal to automatically justify obstacles in the way to getting it.
You may say, I want more money, but I don’t know what to do to make it happen. Or, you may state, “I want to start living my life differently but….” The list of obstacles, limitations, and excuses in the way to a bigger life, can go on forever. The truth is that reasons why something isn’t possible are always greater than what’s possible for you to overcome in your current level of existence. The only way to overcome the barriers in life is to become double eye-sighted.
Double eye-sightedness is a phrase I coined meaning, “Keeping one eye (the weaker eye) on what’s in the way, and keeping the other eye (the stronger eye) on what you want.”
When we recognize the barriers in life but stay focused on our desired results, something happens. The barriers diminish or change while our desired results become more of a reality.
I realize this process is easier said than done and to make it a feasible means to success, you need something of great power—courage. Successful people may lack many things. A successful person may have started with nothing—no money, intelligence, experience, or opportunity. But, the one thing every successful person does possess is courage. Not the courage to go onward toward their dreams, but the courage to do whatever they could with what they had to work with at that time.
Most people know what they would like their lives to be, or what results they would like to achieve. They just don’t know how to make it happen. The key to achieving any level of success or greatness is to have the courage to do any actions steps you can, at this time, with what you have to work with, and that’s it.
As you complete the little things you can do right now, your life will change and so will your barriers and resources. Your barriers may diminish or change to something completely new. The new barriers will require you to continue with the process of immediately doing whatever you can, with what you have to work with once again. Repeating this cycle will move you closer and closer to your desired outcome.
Success doesn’t come in one big chunk. It’s a process of multiple little things that build up to a big result. The only way people can get to their big results is by having the courage to face the little things at hand, get them out of the way, and do this process over and over again until a realization occurs of their worthy result.
The key word is “Courage.” Almost everyone has some dream, but very few will ever bring their dreams to fruition. Once again, it’s not because they lack the resources. Lack comes from not having the courage to get done whatever you can with what you have to work with at that moment.
Look at the successful people throughout time. Almost every single one of them faced insurmountable odds and obstacles. Failure was prevalent throughout the process to their victory. These people simply did whatever they could each day, with what they had to work with, and eventually experienced victory.
Success in anything is a victory over your self-imposed limitations.
When you quickly exhaust all your current action steps, you will find new opportunities open for you and new action steps to follow. Quickly clear these new steps and the ones to follow. As you proceed with this process, you will find your dream life unfolding step-by-step.
I’ve taken many people on the journey from despair and lack to a life of prosperity. The first element I have all my students address is to confront (face) life fully and develop the attitude of “Do It Now.” Do what you may ask? Complete whatever you can identify as the most basic steps toward your dream life.
If there is a habit you have that’s getting in the way to your dreams, eliminate it. If there are simple chores or tasks that are lingering in your life, clear them out. If you can only complete one or two tasks toward your desired results, get those done immediately.
As you complete the things you can, at this time, with what you have to work with, you’ll have new possibilities be granted upon you. The new possibilities will never come to you until you clear all the “little things” that you can at this time.
I know this year is coming to a close and most people are repeating their same Mental Codes®. You probably are finding this year’s closing is similar to those in the past. You have good intentions for the New Year, but if you don’t grasp what I’m sharing with you, the cycle will continue.
Courage is the secret to success. If you have limitations or fear of any sort, use your courage to control them and excel beyond your current ability. The only way a person grows to a bigger life is by having the courage to make it happen.
Intelligence can actually be detrimental to success. An intelligent person can give you logical reasons why something isn’t possible. Using logic can actually make a person not confront what they need to do. An intelligent person may say, “As soon as…I’m going to do this.” This approach will always keep a person waiting because perfect opportunities aren’t delivered on your doorstep; they’re created by courageously facing the little things and getting them done quickly. This “clearing process” creates a bigger you in a systematic process that always produces more success.
I encourage you to courageously look at your life. What do you want? What little things can you do right now? Are you willing to courageously confront them and get them completed? Are you willing to once and for all give 100% to your desired results and stop concentrating on why something isn’t possible?
As you complete the little steps, greater possibilities will come to you. As you experience more and more, you will create an unbelievable life. Not only will others not believe what you’ve accomplished, you’ll be so amazed with the results, you won’t believe it yourself.
